Respiratory Therapist, Pediatrics (RT PEDS) This position is based in a healthcare facility specializing in pediatric respiratory care. The Respiratory Therapist provides intensive respiratory care, evaluates patients, and delivers prescribed treatments with minimal supervision. The role involves patient transport, education, and the operation of ventilatory equipment to support patient respiratory health.

- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Responsibilities include: providing intensive respiratory care, operating ventilatory equipment (both invasive and non-invasive), administering medications via nebulizers, performing chest physiotherapy, suctioning, conducting oximetry and capnography monitoring, reviewing chest x-rays, performing 12-Lead EKGs, and assisting with procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement.
- Additional duties: Tracheostomy care, arterial puncture, laboratory testing, cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines, insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes, operating ventilatory equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Will assist in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, communicate clinical information during shift handoffs, and support quality patient care through proper charting and reporting.
