Description

Job Summary:
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Home Health located in the designated service area. This position involves providing specialized speech and language therapy services to home health patients, supporting their communication, swallowing, and cognitive needs within a community-based setting. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient care.

Job Details:

  • Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS certification is required, with 0 years of experience minimum. Candidate must demonstrate experience in home healthcare with skills in alternative communication devices, augmentative communication, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), degenerative diseases, dysarthria, dysphagia, hearing impairments, Medicare Part A, oral motor, and point of service documentation.
  • Schedule: The shift is days, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Position Description: The Speech Language Pathologist will cover multiple teams within the designated territory, performing approximately 6 patient visits per day, with travel reimbursement provided at $0.55 per mile. The assignment includes completing 80 orientation hours, with shifts guaranteed for at least 3 shifts per 13 weeks.
  • Additional Information: No on-call requirement; a valid license in the state is necessary at the time of submission. The clinician will be covering the GSL St Charles, West, and South teams within a 40-80 mile radius. Candidates must have a valid license and be able to work in a community health setting with a focus on patient-centered care.
