Description

Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer Echo in the specialty of Ultrasonographer Echolocated in an unspecified healthcare facilityresponsible for diagnostic cardiac or vascular ultrasound procedures. The role involves providing high-quality images and measurements of cardiac structures to support accurate diagnosis by cardiologists, as well as assisting with complex procedures in various clinical settings.

Job Details:

  • Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: High School diploma or GED; required certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); BLS certification; six (6) months of related experience; ability to work independently; excellent communication skills; ability to serve in on-call rotation after regular hours.
  • Schedule: Days shift; 8 hours per day; minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Demonstrates correct technique and judgment in performing advanced cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures, including TEE and stress echo. Reviews pertinent patient data, operates diagnostic equipment, notifies abnormal results to physicians, and documents procedures accurately. Supports departmental quality assurance (QA), maintains current competency and registry (ARDMS or CCI), and collaborates with healthcare team members. Maintains compliance with hospital policies, practices infection control, preserves confidentiality, and promotes safety.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Impella, LVAD, Mtrial Valve, TAVR, TEE; at least 1 year of previous travel experience; willingness to work holidays.
