Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Location: Maine. This role involves providing respiratory care to patients across various areas, including neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, emergency departments, and adult critical care units. The position supports a dynamic, team-focused environment determined by departmental operational needs.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Responsible for delivering respiratory therapy services across multiple units in a tertiary, teaching hospital setting, including NICU, PICU, emergency, and adult critical care.
  • Required Qualifications: BLS certification required; ACLS preferred; NRP certification required for NICU. Education modules specific to the role.
  • Schedule: Shift from 7AM-7:30AM to 7PM-7:30AM, working 12-hour shifts, with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Must have experience in adult acute and critical care, NICU/PICU, and some neonatal and pediatric emergencies. The role includes working every other weekend and participating in call rotation, with approximately one call shift per month or as departmentally required. Candidate should demonstrate flexibility, excellent communication skills, and be a team player.
  • Hiring Profile: Must have tertiary, teaching hospital experience, and level 1 trauma experience.
