Job Summary
MRI Technologist MRI Location: Not specified. This position involves performing a wide variety of routine and advanced magnetic resonance imaging procedures, providing support to other imaging technologists, and ensuring smooth patient flow. Flexibility to work different shifts and locations as needed is required to meet clinical and operational needs.
Job Details
- Certifications/Requirements: ARRT certification in MRI required, State Licensure if in New Mexico, MRT by MIRTP NMEDBLS issued through American Heart Association required. Experience requirement: 1 year of MRI experience preferred; minimum 0 years (equivalent to 1 year).
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week, working Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 11:30 am to midnight.
- Responsibilities include performing examinations, adhering to safety, quality assurance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and following policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and image quality.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology or equivalent program. Basic computer experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Additional Information: The MRI Technologist must demonstrate flexibility, maintain imaging competencies, participate in ongoing education, and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
