Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Nebraska This role involves providing respiratory care to pediatric and adult patients in an acute care setting. The position supports NICU Level 4, PICU Level 1 trauma, transplant, and adult intensive care units with procedures such as nebulizers, MDI, bronchial hygiene, Volume Expansion, CPAP, and BiPAP across all ages.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Active Nebraska license, active AHA BLS, ACLS & PALS (required); active NRP (required); minimum 2 years of experience in floor care therapy and intensive care therapy; willingness to supply High school diploma upon credentialing; experience with Nebulizers, MDI s, bronchoscopy, volume expansion, CPAP, BiPAP for infants, and familiarity with Servoi, SiPAP, Sensormedics 3100A ventilator machines, and blood gas analysis.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional job expectations include providing basic respiratory therapy procedures across all age groups, supporting NICU Level 4, PICU Level 1 trauma, and adult ICU patients, with possible assignment shifts affecting NICU duties.
• Equipment utilized in the unit includes electronic charting (EPIC), supply and medication pyxis machines.
• Certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS (AHA), and RRT Certification.
