Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, licensed in the specialty of Respiratory Therapy, working in pediatric care, located in Memphis, TN, with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsible for delivering intensive respiratory care, including operating ventilatory equipment (both invasive and non-invasive), administering oxygen and aerosol treatments, performing chest physiotherapy, and suctioning procedures.
• Conducts diagnostic procedures such as EKG, pulmonary function tests, and capnography monitoring.
• Assists with specialized procedures like bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care.
• Performs arterial punctures, monitors ventilation efficiency, and manages laboratory testing in laboratories of moderate complexity.
• Ensures all treatments and patient responses are accurately documented, communicating effectively with medical staff.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots ventilatory and respiratory equipment, including self-testing and preventative maintenance.
• Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation following BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Performs procedures such as endotracheal tube insertion/removal and manages ventilatory equipment for pediatric patients.
• Maintains accurate respiratory therapy records and reports on treatment efficacy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
