This position involves performing routine screening and diagnostic mammography at a healthcare facility. The role requires demonstrating competency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factors to ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety.

Job Details

• Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography.
• Demonstrate competency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factors.
• Ensure all radiographic images are appropriately labeled as specified by the department Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
• Evaluate images for technical acceptability and ensure images are transmitted to Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) in a timely manner.
• Ensure that all studies performed are completed in IDX.
• Accurately record all required patient tracking information into the tracking system.
• Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 10:00 am 6:00 pm, 7.5 hours per shift, minimum 37.5 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: New York State License of Diagnostic Radiography, registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), ability to maintain Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements.
• Additional Skills: PACS navigation, IDX system usage, patient tracking system usage, and the ability to work effectively and efficiently.
• Education: Must possess New York State License of Diagnostic Radiography, be registered with ARRT, and maintain MQSA requirements.
