Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) Richmond, VA. This role involves providing specialized rehabilitation services within a hospital setting, with a focus on stroke evaluation and treatment, neuro re-education, and functional activity. The position is an 8-hour day shift, scheduled Monday through Friday, with weekend rotations.

Position Description:
Responsible for delivering inpatient rehabilitation therapy, including manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, self-care, and functional electrical stimulation. Experience in hospital and inpatient rehab settings with stroke evaluation and treatment is preferred. -
Required Qualifications:
Certified Occupational Therapist licensed for inpatient hospital practice; 2 years of hospital experience required; flexible scheduling from 7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with 40 hours per week; hospital and inpatient rehab experience preferred; stroke evaluation and treatment experience preferred. -
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced skills in neuro-re-education and functional assessments; familiarity with hospital equipment such as ceiling lifts and Bioness systems; effective communication skills including use of AIDET; experience with Meditech Expanse documentation system preferred. -
Schedule:
Dayshift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with weekend rotations. -
Additional Information:
Must have use of AIDET communication and immediate service recovery skills. The unit utilizes Hospital and Inpatient Rehabilitation experience for optimal patient care. Candidates should be adaptable to float to the acute hospital if census requires.
