Job Summary
Radiologic Technologist (X-ray) Madison, WI. This position involves performing a wide variety of imaging exams on adult, geriatric, adolescent, and pediatric patients using diverse radiographic equipment and technology. The role requires troubleshooting, participating in quality assurance, and making quick, technically proficient decisions to accommodate various physical restrictions and pathologies.
Job Details
- Certifications: ARRT R (Registered Radiologic Technologist), BLS (Basic Life Support) certified through American Heart Association, and Wisconsin State Licensed Radiographer.
- Education: Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology.
- Location: Madison, WI.
- Years of Experience: 2 years experience required.
- Schedule: Day/Evening, 8-hour shifts, Sunday 07:30 AM 03:30 PM, Monday through Thursday 07:15 AM 03:45 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week. Standby call and holidays as needed.
- Additional Requirements: Pass/Fail testing with strict criteria including telemetry exam, two attempts to pass, and submission of a cardiac interpretation review course certificate if needed.
- Clinical Responsibilities: Perform diverse imaging procedures, troubleshoot equipment, participate in quality assurance, handle contrast media preparation and administration, and support infection control protocols.
- Clinical Skills: Abdomen decubitus, chest imaging, trauma imaging, portable procedures, and specialized equipment operation like GE and Siemens systems.
- Travel and Location: Travel is required within a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
