Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Responsible for evaluating patient outcomes, making adjustments to the plan of care within a multidisciplinary team, and providing respiratory care as ordered by physicians. This role involves educating patients and/or responsible persons about respiratory disease processes and interventions, sharing clinical knowledge with staff and students, and ensuring effective patient discharge planning. The position supports the organizations commitment to delivering high-quality respiratory care across the healthcare facility.
Job Details
- Position: Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS)
- Location: Illinois, working in a healthcare facility providing specialized respiratory services for pediatric patients
- Required Qualifications: Associates degree, Illinois License, BLS Basic Life Support certification, RRT Registered Respiratory Therapist - Illinois License, Minimum of 2 years of experience in response to a respiratory therapy role in a healthcare setting, including experience working with pediatric patients
- Schedule: Days shift; 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Responsibilities include evaluating patient outcomes, implementing and adjusting respiratory care plans, providing patient education, and sharing clinical knowledge with staff and students
- Reassignment to different units may be required based on organizational needs
