Job Summary

CT Technologist specializing in CT procedures and diagnostic radiography. Performs computed tomography (CT), X-ray, and fluoroscopic examinations, including procedures in the operating room, while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and adherence to established protocols. Operates CT equipment, administers ordered contrast media, and performs quality control activities.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training at an AMA-approved school; registration by the ARRT; registration or certification as a CT Technologist; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Two years of previous experience preferred.
• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Perform radiographic, CT, and fluoroscopic procedures; position and immobilize patients; operate CT-associated equipment; administer or assist with ordered contrast media; evaluate examinations for technical quality; practice sterile technique and universal precautions; maintain required records; clean examination rooms; restock supplies; and transport patients according to their physical abilities.
• Additional Information: The role requires considerable walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching, and occasional sitting and climbing. The position involves moving and lifting patients and equipment, starting intravenous lines, responding to equipment prompts and alarms, and communicating verbally with patients.
