Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist PEDS located in a healthcare facility specializing in respiratory care. This position involves providing intensive respiratory treatments and patient transport, evaluating patient needs, and educating patients upon discharge. Candidates will operate ventilatory equipment and assist with various respiratory procedures.

Job Details

• Position Description: Provides quality patient care by administering respiratory therapy, operating ventilatory equipment, performing chest physiotherapy, suctioning, monitoring oxygenation and ventilation, reviewing chest x-rays, performing pulmonary function tests, assisting with procedures, and maintaining equipment. Must perform arterial puncture, tracheostomy care, and manage mechanical ventilation. Maintains documentation and communicates patient responses and treatment outcomes.
• Required Qualifications: Respiratory Therapist Licensed in the VA, with at least 1 year of experience.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Performs CPR according to BLS and ACLS standards, assists with invasive and non-invasive procedures, maintains equipment, and adheres to all policies related to laboratory testing and respiratory care.
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
