Job Summary
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NUC) position is based at a healthcare facility in California. This role involves performing nuclear medicine procedures, including imaging and diagnostic tests, in a low-volume, low-acuity hospital setting. The successful candidate will work independently, supporting interdisciplinary teams and ensuring quality patient care.
Job Details
- Certifications: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), BLS (Basic Life Support), CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist); or NMTCB ( Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board).
- Education Requirements: Valid state license in California.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in nuclear medicine is preferred; 0 years required.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include performing a variety of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, maintaining proper handling of radioactive materials, and working independently during shifts in a small team environment.
- Certification, license, and references must be current and submitted during the compliance process.
- Candidates must respond to specific candidate screening questions regarding prior employment at a Providence facility and current LA fire card.
- The position involves rotating call duties with shifts on weekdays and weekends, with weekend coverage only if required, and no weekend shifts unless called for.
- The role may require float to other facilities within the state, including Torrance and outpatient centers.
- Modules: Non-billable training modules required prior to start; average of 16 hours, with self-reported completion.
