Job Details

  • Certifications, Education, and Experience: ARDMS certification, BLS certification, at least 2 years of experience in an acute care facility.
  • Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Performs general diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including surgical, portable, emergency, trauma, and outpatient procedures.
  • Selects and operates ultrasound equipment according to departmental guidelines.
  • Reviews completed tests for quality, completeness, and accuracy aligned with the clinical directives.
  • Obtains patient history, answers questions, and explains procedures clearly.
  • Maintains department facilities, equipment, and materials ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Assists physicians during examinations and adapts to individual routines.
  • Oversees work of other personnel by training, allocating, and monitoring duties if applicable.
  • Maintains effective communication with patients, physicians, visitors, and other staff members.
  • Prepares and maintains departmental records, files, and reports; participates in clerical responsibilities.
  • Enhances professional growth through educational programs, literature, and workshops.
  • Assists with patient transport as necessary.
  • Flexibility in duty assignments and schedules, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Submission of certifications, references, and licensing documents in compliance with facility requirements.
