Job Summary
MRI Technologist MRI Location unspecified. This position involves performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures on patients using high field strength magnets and related equipment. The MRI technologist will work under the guidance of Radiologists, assist in training radiology students and house staff, and ensure the acquisition of high-quality images to aid medical diagnosis.

Job Details

• Education Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) program or Radiologic technology program.
• Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively, establish effective relationships, follow instructions, perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, troubleshoot equipment, work collaboratively, and possess knowledge of MRI physics, anatomy, techniques, safety principles, and medical equipment.
• Licenses and Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and one of the following: ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist), ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist), or CRT (California Certified Radiology Tech).
• Schedule: Rotating shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include assisting in patient preparation, performing MRI scans, evaluating scan quality, preparing images, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining documentation.
• The candidate must be current on scanning protocols, capable of handling ancillary equipment, and committed to safety standards.
