Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This position involves providing respiratory therapy services within a Level III Trauma Center and Magnet Designated facility. The role focuses on managing ventilators, assisting with intubations, and supporting patient respiratory needs across geriatrics, adults, and some pediatrics in emergency and general care settings.
Job Details
- Position Description: Respiratory Therapy Services in a Level III Trauma Center with comprehensive stroke and NICU capabilities, serving mostly geriatrics and adults, with some pediatric cases in the Emergency Department.
- Required Qualifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications; licensed as a Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT); minimum of 1 year of experience; location requirements are not specified; valid healthcare license.
- Skills required: Vent management, CPAP, BiPap, Nebulizers, arterial-line placement, assisting providers with intubation, vent weaning, extubation, ABGs.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Orientation includes at least one shift to learn unit flow; potential for float to all units at the hospital; scrub color is flexible as long as solid and professional; free parking is available.
