Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (RT) Pediatric (PEDS) Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care within a Level III Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The role primarily supports geriatrics, adults, and pediatric patients, with responsibilities including vent management and assisting providers with airway procedures to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS, ACLS certifications; valid respiratory therapy license; 1 year of experience preferred; location in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
- Responsibilities include vent management, CPAP, BiPap, nebulizer treatments, arterial line placement, assisting with intubations, vent weaning, extubation, and ABG analysis.
- Support within the Department: Collaboration with other respiratory therapists, registered nurses, and healthcare staff.
- Support Equipment: AVEA vents, Servo U Vent, LPU 1200 Vents, parapack vents for MRI, Hamilton vents for transport.
- Scheduling notes: Weekend rotation required every other weekend; no on-call, holiday duties assigned as needed; orientation includes at least one shift to learn workflow.
- Support within the Department: Collaboration with other respiratory therapists and healthcare staff.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must be eligible to start on 11/16/2026 and available through 02/13/2027.
