Job Summary
A Respiratory Therapist (RT) Pediatric (PEDS) is needed in a hospital setting located in Wausau, Wisconsin. This role involves providing respiratory care support across various patient care areas, including emergency department and general care units, with an emphasis on pediatric patients. The position requires a focus on critical care and ventilator management during night shifts.

Job Details

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT) PEDS Specialty: Respiratory Therapy (Registered) Location: Wausau, WI
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Associates Degree or Certificate; BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; WI license active; minimum of 3+ years of experience with pediatrics; NBRC RRT or CRT (RRT obtained within one year); ACLS and PALS are required, NRP preferred but not necessary; previous travel experience required
Additional Responsibilities: Provide emergency services including Rapid Response and Code Blue; perform basic and critical respiratory care, ventilator management, and patient assessments; support all patient ages across hospital units; ensure documentation in electronic medical records; adhere to dress code and safety policies including infection control during Flu Season.
Preferred Qualifications: NICU experience is preferred for night shift positions.
Note: GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation; traveler is guaranteed set hours per week and may be placed on call for low census hours with callback pay; adherence to vaccination policy during Flu Season is mandatory.
