Job Summary

CT Technologist performs computed tomography procedures while demonstrating professionalism, patient-centered care, and service excellence. The role includes preparing patients and equipment, maintaining a safe and sterile environment, monitoring patients during contrast procedures, and supporting efficient workflow during routine, emergency, and unscheduled examinations.

Job Details

Schedule: Overnight schedule on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.; call is included. The schedule totals 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Completion of a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential; completion of a radiographer technical training program from a school of radiography or college-based radiography program; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) RT (R) certification; ARRT RT (CT) certification; New Jersey State X-Ray License; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Additional Information: Performs computed tomography examinations and assists with routine, emergency, trauma, and unscheduled procedures. Responsibilities include verifying patient identification, communicating with patients and families, maintaining patient privacy and dignity, assessing patient tolerance of contrast, screening for allergies and medication incompatibilities, following venipuncture and power injector protocols, monitoring patients before and after contrast administration, and reporting changes or unusual findings to appropriate clinical personnel. Maintains supplies, equipment, room cleanliness, inventory, and quality assurance and quality control requirements. Acquires, processes, sends, and verifies images and related data according to established protocols, including immediate processing for emergency cases. Recognizes equipment malfunctions and promptly alerts appropriate personnel.
