Job Details

• Position Description: Provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, including the use of modalities, manual techniques, and common exercise techniques. Instructs and guides patients through functional activities, such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance activities. Works under minimal supervision and may mentor and train staff on technical skills.
• Required Qualifications: High School Education/GED or equivalent; Associates/Technical Degree or equivalent combined education/experience; Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states; CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor; Valid Driver's License and age at least 21 years.
• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Performs physical therapy treatments including modalities, manual techniques, and exercise techniques. Educates patients and caregivers, observes treatment responses, documents interventions timely and accurately, and reports changes to overseeing clinicians. Responsibilities include chart documentation and patient education, with a focus on patient safety and adherence to treatment precautions.
