Respiratory Therapist PEDS Columbus South. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care to pediatric patients within a healthcare setting. The role includes evaluating patient needs, administering treatments, and educating patients and families upon discharge to ensure optimal respiratory health and recovery.

Job Details

• Certifications: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) required. Education: Relevant healthcare education with a focus on respiratory therapy. Experience: 0 years required. Location: Columbus South.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include providing routine and advanced respiratory treatments, operating ventilatory equipment, performing chest physiotherapy, suctioning, monitoring oxygenation, conducting pulmonary function studies, assisting with procedures, and ensuring proper documentation.
• Performs procedures such as bronchoscopy assistance, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, arterial punctures, and ventilator management.
• Maintains adherence to BLS and ACLS guidelines, with proper equipment testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Records all treatments and patient responses accurately, communicates effectively with the healthcare team, and reports any significant observations or concerns.
• Additional duties include assisting with laboratory testing policies, ensuring quality control, and supporting equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Submit applicable certifications and validation of skills upon application.
