Job Details

• Position Description: Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, offering intensive respiratory therapy and patient transport into and out of the healthcare facility as medically prescribed, within the scope of a professional license. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, explaining procedures, and providing patient education upon discharge.
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT), valid state licensure, and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Shift Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include operating various ventilatory equipment, conducting pulmonary function studies, performing procedures such as inserting and removing endotracheal tubes, assisting with procedures like bronchoscopy, and performing chest physiotherapy and suctioning. The role involves monitoring patient responses, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with physicians concerning therapy efficacy.
