Description
Job Summary
Ultrasonographer, Echo Pediatric cardiac imaging assignment supporting neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients. The role performs echocardiographic examinations involving congenital and acquired cardiac conditions, including complex anomalies and patients across various levels of care. The schedule is primarily weekdays with periodic weekend on-call coverage.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, for a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification with Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS PE) credential; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; strong pediatric echocardiography skills; required charting system experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience.
- Additional Information:
- Performs approximately 68 echocardiographic examinations per day involving congenital and acquired pediatric cardiac disease.
- Supports cardiac imaging for patients with congenital anomalies and varying levels of care needs.
- Experience with pediatric acute and outpatient care, complex cardiac anomalies, color Doppler, continuous-wave Doppler, pulsed-wave Doppler, M-mode, strain and volume measurements, contrast imaging, portable studies, and postoperative cardiac assessments is relevant to the role.
- Uses GE and Philips imaging equipment.
- Weekend on-call coverage is required approximately once per month, with Saturday and Sunday coverage from 7:30 AM to 7:30 AM; weekday on-call coverage may extend from 6:30 PM to 7:30 AM.
- Holidays are required as scheduled.
- Navy blue scrubs are required.
- The assignment is scheduled for 13 weeks and includes 24 hours of orientation.
