Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technologist in Eureka, California. This position involves assisting with coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmias related procedures, including diagnostic and interventional work, permanent pacemaker insertions, and other specialized interventions. The role requires collaboration within a high-acuity acute care hospital environment, supporting adult and geriatric patients.

Job Details

• Certifications: ARRT*, Fluoro Permit, BLS, ACLS*
• Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with certifications in ARRT, Fluoro Permit, BLS, and ACLS; candidates with pending Fluoro permits are encouraged to apply.
• Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum 40 hours weekly
• Responsibilities include accurate monitoring, angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, cardioversion, carotid angiography, peripheral interventions, pacemaker insertion, and other interventional procedures, utilizing fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities.
• Open to first-time candidates and candidates with less than 2 years experience.
• Willingness to accommodate a block schedule is noted; candidates may be required to work up to four days per week with up to two weekends in a six-week schedule.
• Ability to work in a sterile environment, maintain equipment, and perform advanced cardiac and radiologic procedures is essential.
• Candidates must have applied for or be willing to obtain a Fluoro Permit prior to employment.
• References: Two references covering at least one year within the last three years are required.
• Candidates may be expected to float between nearby facilities, and refusal to float may impact employment conditions.
• Additional operational details include a 30-hour orientation and involvement in interdisciplinary support services.
