Job Summary

Physical Therapist Assistant Physical Therapist Inpatient Ohio. The Physical Therapist Assistant administers physical modalities and procedures under the direction of a Licensed Physical Therapist while supporting patient care across inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, transitional care, pediatrics, outpatient services, and wellness settings. The role requires professional communication, initiative, sound clinical knowledge, multitasking ability, and the capacity to perform physically demanding activities.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week, with weekend coverage every third weekend.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience; graduation from an accredited school recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association; active Ohio Physical Therapy Assistant license; active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; current skills checklist relevant to the Physical Therapist Assistant specialty.
• Preferred Qualifications: Inpatient rehabilitation and acute care experience.
• Additional Information: The Physical Therapist Assistant carries out the plan of care under the direction of the Licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with Ohio physical therapy laws and regulations and applicable professional standards. Responsibilities may include assisting in inpatient acute care, rehabilitation, transitional care, pediatrics, outpatient services, and wellness settings. The role involves standing, walking, kneeling, bending, running, sitting, lifting and supporting patients, reaching, handling equipment, typing, and computer use. Occasional exposure to animals may occur.
