Job Summary

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist responsible for assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures for adult and geriatric patients. The role performs case recording, cardiac circulation, and scrub assistance while supporting patient preparation, procedure documentation, sterile technique, infection prevention, and communication of clinical changes.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; demonstrated ability to support diagnostic cardiovascular procedures, interventional cardiovascular procedures, cardiac interventional procedures, peripheral interventional procedures, and cardiac circulation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification preferred; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred; minimum of two years of Cardiac Invasive Technologist experience preferred, including diagnostic, cardiac interventional, and peripheral interventional procedures; demonstrated expertise with catheters, wires, stents, and procedural supplies.
• Schedule: Evening shifts of 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; on-call coverage is required, with no weekend shifts.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include assisting physicians during cardiovascular procedures; preparing patients for examinations; functioning as a case recorder, cardiac circulator, and scrub assistant; performing point-of-care testing in accordance with Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) guidelines; documenting procedures and procedure-related information in the medical record; reporting equipment malfunctions; maintaining sterile procedures and infection prevention standards; cleaning work areas; replenishing supplies; and supporting ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion, and service excellence. The role must be able to participate in ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) on-call coverage.
