Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered Templeton. Provides basic and critical respiratory care services for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, including patients with respiratory disease and those requiring mechanical ventilation. The role performs respiratory assessments, administers prescribed therapies, supports specialized procedures, and documents patient care in accordance with clinical policies.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program; Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required at hire or within 90 days; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required at hire or within 90 days; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required at hire or within 90 days; experience with labor and delivery and pediatric patients.
• Preferred Qualifications: Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, approximately 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., three shifts per week, 36 hours per week, with rotating weekends.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include assessing and documenting respiratory therapy needs, administering aerosol and oxygen therapy, drawing arterial blood gases, caring for ventilated patients, assisting with bronchoscopies and other specialized procedures, supporting cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, educating patients and families, maintaining respiratory equipment, completing ventilator and ventilator-associated pneumonia prevention protocols, and participating in staff training, quality control, equipment processing, and department operations.
