Job Summary
Physical Therapist, Outpatient Alaska. This 13-week outpatient assignment provides care for adult and geriatric patients, including neuro, orthopedic, and medically complex populations. The position is scheduled for day shifts and welcomes first-time travelers.
Job Details
- Assignment: 13-week assignment beginning 11/30/2026, with an anticipated end date of 03/01/2027.
- Schedule: Day shifts, either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts, totaling 40 hours per week; some Saturdays may be required.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; valid Alaska physical therapist license, with pending licensure accepted; experience with required clinical documentation systems; skills in acute care, outpatient clinic, rehabilitation hospital, skilled nursing facility, body mechanics, cervicalgia, low back pain, postoperative cervical surgery, postoperative shoulder repair, postoperative spinal surgery, spinal conditions, total hip replacement, total knee replacement, cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinsons disease, post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, home exercise programs, and patient and family education.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience and experience treating adult and geriatric patients.
- Additional Information: The assignment involves treating neuro, orthopedic, and medically complex patients in an outpatient setting. Patient care may include rehabilitation for neurological, musculoskeletal, postoperative, and cognitive conditions. Clinical documentation system experience is required. The therapist may be asked to float within the scope of practice to support operational needs.
