Description
Job Summary
Radiation Therapist Radiation Therapist. This position delivers prescribed radiation therapy treatments safely and accurately while following physician orders and established treatment protocols. The role provides patient-centered care, performs treatment safety checks, evaluates imaging, reviews treatment plans, and collaborates with radiation oncology and multidisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Associate of Applied Science in Radiation Therapy; current state license; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Radiography and Radiation Therapy (ARRT R(T)); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least 3 years of clinical experience in radiation therapy; at least 1 year of travel experience; electronic medical record experience with EPIC/ARIAL.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with 40 hours per week. No call or holidays.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include verifying patient identity, completing imaging verification and treatment timeouts, acquiring and evaluating kilovoltage (kV), megavoltage (MV), and cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) treatment imaging, reviewing treatment plans and patient charts, identifying discrepancies, preventing treatment errors, educating patients, and coordinating care with radiation oncologists and the multidisciplinary team.
