Job Summary

MRI Technologist, MRI. The MRI Technologist operates magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images, maintains imaging equipment, and positions patients safely for procedures. The role includes obtaining medical histories, maintaining records, adjusting the scanner as directed, and collaborating with physicians in a high-volume inpatient and outpatient setting.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Associate degree in Applied Science; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); experience with GE scanners; either American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) certification and at least two years of MRI Technologist experience, or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography and at least one year of MRI Technologist experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Two years of experience as a Technologist in Imaging Services.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, and a minimum of 36 hours per week. Call is required, primarily one weekend every sixth weekend, with occasional after-hours weekday needs.
• Additional Information: This is a 13-week assignment supporting a fully established, high-volume department. The patient population includes both inpatient and outpatient cases, with responsibility for basic scans while advanced scans are handled by specialized teams. Graduate students may observe procedures as part of their clinical training.
