Job Summary

CT Technologist CT. Performs computed tomography procedures and tests to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data while prioritizing patient identification, safety, comfort, and understanding. Administers oral and intravenous contrast, produces high-quality diagnostic images, manages image transmission and orders, and supports efficient clinical workflow.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science; registration with the applicable radiologic sciences registry or registry eligibility; registry-eligible candidates must provide a diploma from an accredited program; advanced certification in computed tomography; successful candidates must obtain registration within one year of employment and maintain registry status and annual continuing education requirements; current competency in Health Care Professional (HCP) Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Schedule: Nights; 10-hour shifts; MondayThursday, 8:30 p.m.7:00 a.m.; 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include verifying patient identification and pregnancy status when applicable; obtaining patient histories; assisting patients and family members; performing computed tomography scans according to established protocols; manipulating images and completing multiplanar and three-dimensional reconstructions; selecting appropriate window and level settings; administering oral and intravenous contrast according to safety protocols; establishing intravenous access; reviewing appropriate laboratory values; transmitting, verifying, and segmenting images through image archiving and transfer systems; completing, modifying, and canceling orders accurately; reviewing patient charts and reports for clinical correlation; maintaining an orderly work environment; documenting incidents as opportunities for improvement; and precepting new employees and students.
