Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered, RT PEDS. The Respiratory Therapist Registered provides direct patient care with an emphasis on pulmonary function testing, initiation of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) devices, inhaler education, and durable medical equipment support. The role includes equipment setup and collaboration with physicians to support respiratory care needs.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Day shifts are available on an as-needed basis, with flexibility to work nights preferred.
• Required Qualifications:
  • One year of hospital or physician office experience
  • Completion of a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)-accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • New Jersey Respiratory Therapist license (RCP)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Computer literacy
• Additional Information:
  • Provide direct patient care services focused on pulmonary function testing.
  • Initiate continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) devices.
  • Support requests for durable medical equipment, including oxygen concentrators and nebulizers.
  • Assist with patient training on inhaler use.
  • Set up patients with durable medical equipment.
  • Collaborate with physicians on respiratory care needs.
