Description
BACKFILL!! ASAP start. NIGHTS Acute Care RN for their new department- Admissions Pending Unit***26 weeks ONLY! Shifts will be 36 hrs/week. Hours will be 7p-7a. Holidays will be required as needed. May be required to float to other units. No Call required. Not currently offering any 48hr contracts. No first-time travelers. BLS and ACLS via AHA required. KS state license or multistate license required.
We are seeking candidates who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, short-term acute care environment that manages a wide variety of patient diagnoses. The Admissions Pending Unit (APU) is designed for rapid patient throughput, with an ideal length of stay of 4 hours or less. During this time, nurses are responsible for:
• Initiating admission orders
• Completing the admission navigator
• Documenting the initial admission assessment The ideal candidate will:
\• Be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal oversight
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly and remain efficient in a dynamic, high-volume environment
• Have experience managing cardiac and anticoagulant drips, for example Cardizem and Heparin We are looking for individuals who thrive in a setting that requires strong time management, clinical judgment, and flexibility to support rapid patient progression through the admission process
