Description

Shift: Days 4, 10s

Work Experience:
Demonstrate knowledge of breast anatomy, pathological conditions and safe administration of radiation. Identifies and reviews patient’s requisition for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis and all demographic information for the physician and patient. Working knowledge of all Mammography and stereotactic equipment, examinations, and protocols, as well as procedures that require the use of contrast agents and sterile techniques. Conduct and document quality control assuring equipment is within safe limits per MQSA and ACR guidelines. Clearly communicate and educate patients prior to, during, and after breast imaging procedures to guide patients and loved ones to the next step of their breast health coordinating the continuity of care. Review and perform breast imaging examinations for technical accuracy, present completed examinations to the radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure. May perform radiographic examinations according to Vail Health protocol License: ARRT(M) Certifications:
BLS/CPR Certification.
