description:
Provides for the planning, coordination, and provision of nursing care to patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit on specified shifts. This position is responsible for care planning, medication administration, noting of physiological changes, and psychosocial needs of neonates, as well as the education/training of the patient and their family. Supervises and delegates care responsibilities to ancillary personnel commensurate with their scope of practice and will be cross trained and float to Peds. This position is represented by CNA.
requirement:
Day Shift 0700 to 1930, 3 x 12s.Rotating days of the week. PALS, NRP and BLS required. 2 years experience. Level 3 experience minimum. Voluntary call.Education and Work Experience:Associate Degree(A.S.) or equivalent: RequiredBachelor's Degree in Nursing: PreferredTwo years NICU experience: RequiredPrevious neonatal transport experience: PreferredPrevious experience attending deliveries for neonatal resuscitation purposes: PreferredLicenses/Certifications:Current RN license in state of practice: RequiredBasic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: RequiredPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS OR HS-PALS OR RQIPALS) certification: RequiredNeonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification: RequiredRNC or CCRN certification: PreferredRegistered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice: Required
