Description
Duties: Job Summary:Under direct supervision, assists in the performance of a variety of Neurophysiology procedures that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of nerve and brain disorders. Job Responsibilities:-Responsibilities listed in this section are core to this position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.-Records and identifies various Neurophysiology data in various settings.-After supervised orientation: obtains patient history, attaches patient electrodes and operates Neurophysiology equipment, during operation of equipment observe studies, analyzes wave graphs, makes documentations to indicate disorders, artifact, and responsible for settings adjustments.-Cares for all age groups, sets-up and prepares patients for Neurophysiology studies, completes post study paperwork used to maintain patients files. Adheres to hospital / departmental guidelines and judgment during patient care, attends and participates in educational, departmental, and required meetings.-Observes Neurophysiology data, and is willing to acquire new skills under direction of physicians, Nurse practitioner, manager, and technologists, including not limited to Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.-
Education: Required Education:-High School Diploma or GED.
Required Certifications & Licensure:- Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required.
