Days, 06:30 AM - 15:00 PM, 07:00 AM - 15:30 PM
Work Experience:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
License: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Certifications:
BLS/CPR Certification.
Work Experience:
- Demonstrates ability to appropriately modify approach and procedures to meet needs of age/diversity of population served for the following age groups.
- Incorporates cultural considerations in the provisions of care.
- Knowledge of growth and developmental stages.
- Considers life changes/effects on health beliefs and behaviors.
- Provides necessary safety measures.
- Provides information and involves family/caregiver in decision making.
- Performs all responsibilities/duties required by the Radiation Oncology Department as defined in the scope of practice, to assure that the unique nature of the patient is addressed. This includes, but is not limited to the age of the patient served.
- Discusses and explains treatment plans to patients.
- Determines exact location to be treated
- Calibrates, operates and maintains radiation machine and equipment.
- Monitors patients for adverse reactions during treatments.
- Ensures accurate delivery of treatment using medical imaging equipment.
- Advises patients on treating side effects of therapy.
- Maintains detailed records of treatments and progress.
- Suggests changes to treatment plans when appropriate.
- Conducts research to assist in improving therapy methods.
- Supports team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
License: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Certifications:
BLS/CPR Certification.
