Description

Sunday - Thursday, 5x8hrs Evenings, on call/callback and holidays per unit needs

X-Ray Technologist Responsibilities:

· Verifying patients' identity and reviewing physicians’ orders before beginning x-ray procedures.

· Using x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians’ written orders

· Explaining x-ray procedures to patients and answering their questions.

· Positioning patients accordingly, which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.

X-Ray Technologist Requirements:

· Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

· NYS license (or able to obtain license prior to starting)

· 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience

· Level 1 trauma center experience

REQUIREMENTS:

BLS

Experience using c-arm/o-arm

Must have recent OR experience

Required/Desired Skills

Skill Required /Desired Technician License (currently ANY Tech License is accepted in the state of NY) Required Two (2) years experience Required BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) Required Experience using c-arm/o-arm Required trauma 1 center experience Required OR experience at a trauma 1 center Required
