Job Description:

The RN in the ICU unit is responsible for providing direct nursing care to critically ill patients with varying levels of acuity. The role involves monitoring and interpreting telemetry data, managing ventilators, and performing essential patient assessments and care plans.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to ICU, PCU, and MST patients, managing typical conditions such as sepsis, respiratory arrest, and post-operative complications.
• Administer titratable and set rate drips, including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin.
• Collaborate with charge nurses to manage care for a 50-bed unit and flexibility to float to different units as required.

Requirements:

• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, or 1 year of ICU with 1 year of PCU/Med Surg experience if from a larger facility.
• Able to pass a dysrhythmia exam before contract signing.
