RN (Registered Nurse) - ICU

Job Description:
The RN (Registered Nurse) in the ICU will provide patient care for trauma, cardiac, overdose/substance abuse, adult sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress cases. Responsibilities include titrating drips and troubleshooting respiratory equipment from nasal cannula to vent.
Responsibilities:
- Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation.
- Read, interpret, and document strips using GE monitors and oversee tele tech operations.
- Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, taking similar patient ratios.
- Participate in unit/department specific orientation for 1 shift.
Requirements:
- BSN required.
- Licensure submission and certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
- Pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%.
- Driver's license required for verification of distance from the facility.
- No artificial nails due to patient care policy.
