Description
● General Information:
· Number of Beds: 36 beds. Typically 18-20 patients.
· Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? No
· Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes with at least 2-years’ experience and Cerner or EPIC (EMR) experience
· Two years in a level 3 NICU
● Patient Types:
· All through hospital
· NICU if for RT NICU position
● Patient Ratios:
· Depends on staffing
● Required Certifications:
· BLS and NRP for NICU; ACLS/APLS preferred
· Per Manager (6/25/24): “My preference is RRT but I will consider CRT with at least 2 years of experience.”
● Skills required:
· Adult: general and critical care
· NICU: Ground transports, Nitric Oxide administration, transport experience preferred
· Must be able to work independently in a level 3 NICU – could be the only NICU RRT on Nights
· Please ask and document in email offer: how many years of experience do they have working in a level 3 NICU?
● Technology/Equipment:
· EMR: Cerner
· Medication dispensing: Omnicell
· Monitors: Spacelabs
· Ventilators: PB 840, PB 980, Drager VN500, LTV, Airvo
· Oscillator (3100A)
● Floating: If yes, where?
· Any like unit/patient location. NICU therapists will also work with adults
● Orientation (#hrs/shifts):
· Travelers who are new to the facility or return travelers who have been gone for 1+ years will have 24 hours of classroom time and 24 hours on the unit
· Rehires: orientation will depend on last date here
● Scheduling:
· Weekend rotation: Every other
· On call? If so, what is that schedule? Voluntary call
· Holiday Expectations: One major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy
· Approval of time off? Can we approve up to 7 days off on your behalf? Yes, excluding provided blackout dates:
● Martin Luther King Jr. Day: 1/15
● Valentine’s Day (week): 2/10 – 2/17S
● Spring Break (week)
● Easter Weekend: 3/30 – 3/31
● Mother’s Day Weekend
● Memorial Day (week): 5/24 – 5/27
● Father’s Day Weekend

● Halloween: 10/30 – 10/31
● Thanksgiving: 11/22– 11/25
● Christmas and New Year’s: 12/23-12/26; 12/31 – 1/1
