Job Description:

Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a diverse critical care environment. The role involves caring for complex ICU patients ranging from surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases. The unit is divided into different pods for specialization but operates as a single cohesive ICU.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for complex ICU patients including ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, and post-surgical cases.
• Perform tasks such as hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and administration of IV medications including vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nursing aides, charge nurses, and respiratory therapists.
• Utilize Epic for accurate charting and documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience excluding travel experience; however, acceptance for 1.5 years with significant other RN experience is considered.
• Required certifications including BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
• Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.
• Experience with critical care equipment and patient management, including Impella, IABP, and CRRT is strongly preferred.
