Job Description:

The role involves providing professional nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the processes of labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the labor and delivery unit.
• Assist during procedures and deliveries as needed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in unit rounds and shift handoffs to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience, preferably LDRP experience focusing on Labor and Delivery.
• Active IL RN license, BLS, and NRP certification.
• Able to work every other weekend and one summer holiday as per unit needs.
• Nursery (Level II) experience and serving as a baby nurse during deliveries is preferred but not required.
