Job Description:

The Registered Nurse will be working in the ICU, responsible for providing care in a Level 1 Trauma unit. The role demands experience in a 600+ bed teaching facility and includes floating amongst SICU, MICU, Trauma ICU, and MedSurg/Tele units. Expect to handle common ICU responsibilities, including reading and interpreting own strips and titrating common drips.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care in SICU/MICU/Trauma ICU with a 120-bed total unit capacity.
• Administer and manage ventilators, perform bedside procedures like Bronchs and Trachs.
• Complete and pass a SIMs Lab skills test, including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
• Float to various ICU and MedSurg/Tele units as required.

Requirements:

• Two years of ICU experience required.
• Experience in a 600+ bed teaching facility.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications.
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam and a Day 1 SIMs Lab skills test.
• Compliance with 50-mile radius rule and natural hair color policy.
