Job Description:

Providing care primarily on the Medical Surgical unit with opportunities to float to other areas such as Outpatient Infusion and the Emergency Department. Must have ED experience and work with a team nursing approach.

Responsibilities:

• Care for patients in a medical-surgical setting, handling a variety of diagnoses including stroke, MI, and trauma.
• Float within various departments as needed including Outpatient Infusion and the ED.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a team setting.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation using EPIC.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a combination of ED and MedSurg.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and PALS certifications; CPI preferred.
• Completion of an approved nursing education program and registered as a nurse with the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
• Experience in medical surgical inpatient care and critical/unstable patient care.
