Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery will provide comprehensive care to low-risk obstetric patients. The role demands proficiency in all aspects of care concerning the mother and newborn, with strong independent decision-making skills. Candidates must be adept with labor, postpartum, and routine nursery care.
Responsibilities:
- Manage labor and delivery care, postpartum, and intermediate nursery care.
- Administer and titrate medications such as Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and provide backup support to fellow RNs.
- Utilize FE Centricity Perinatal for central monitoring of fetal strips.
- Perform unit-specific duties and float as required.
Requirements:
- Current Oregon RN license or ability to obtain a 90-day emergency license.
- Certifications: BLS and NRP.
- Experience in L&D, postpartum, and routine nursery care.
- Ability to be independently functional in a busy and varied-paced environment.
