Job Title: Occupational Therapist
City/State: Tuba City, Arizona
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, 8 Hour Days
Contract Length: 91 weeks

Job Description:
The Occupational Therapist I/II / Advanced Occupational Therapist I/II position serves to provide quality occupational therapy services to a predominantly Native American population for the rehabilitation of patients with various developmental, cognitive, and/or mental, emotional, and physical disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and interpret evaluations and test results for patients ranging in age from birth through geriatric.
- Determine occupational therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription and set realistic treatment goals.
- Document in electronic health records (EHR).
- Evaluate results of occupational therapy by observing and noting progress.
- Recommend and implement adjustments and modifications to therapy plans.
- Maintain the operation and organization of the Occupational Therapy program for outpatients and inpatients.
- Provide specialty services including but not limited to custom orthoses, sensory integration, and cognitive treatment.
- Comply with federal and state occupational therapy certification requirements.
- Consult with the rehabilitation team and other healthcare workers.
- Maintain Medical Staff Credentialing Core Privileges.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy from a school accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association's Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
- Must possess a valid, current, full and unrestricted license from the American Occupational Therapy Association and Arizona Department of Health Licensure or eligible for licensure in Occupational Therapy in the State of Arizona.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
- A minimum of two years experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist with strong orthopedic skills.
- Meet requirements to be credentialed to serve on the Medical Staff.
