Job Description:

Performs breast imaging procedures including mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and assists with breast ultrasound biopsy. Follows MQSA and ACR guidelines for breast imaging.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate knowledge of breast anatomy, pathological conditions, and safe administration of radiation.
• Identify and review patient's requisition for examination consistency with clinical diagnosis.
• Communicate and educate patients prior to, during, and after breast imaging procedures.
• Perform breast imaging examinations, review for technical accuracy, and present to the radiologist.
• Schedule breast imaging appointments and coordinate exams to ensure quality and continuity of patient care.
• Assist in managing departmental workflow and ensure proper patient charge.
• Participate in the orientation of new employees and maintain CEU credits and CPR certification.

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience preferred, especially in healthcare.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Mammography (M) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Possess or obtain necessary computer skills within 90 days.
• Proficiency in the English language.
