Job Description:

The Registered Nurse for PCU is responsible for providing patient care on a 64-bed unit across two floors. The unit encompasses Intermediate Care acuity as well as Tele and MedSurg patients, including pre/post-surgical patients and various medical conditions requiring advanced care.

Responsibilities:

Administer medication, including titratable vasoactive drips, TPN/tube feeding, and blood product transfusions
Manage peripheral IV, Midline, PICC and central line access, as well as other medical devices
Provide wound care and interpret telemetry monitored patient data
Ensure patient management aligns with IMC/stepdown and neuro care requirements

Requirements:

1 year of nursing experience required, preferably in PCU Level
Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license - South Dakota Board of Nursing
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Experience with Epic or willingness to learn
Comfortable handling MedSurg assignments and ability to read/interpret cardiac strips
